This equipment, specifically designed for battery slurry conveying, became one of the focal points at the exhibition thanks to its stability and low-shear characteristics.

On-site at the Expo: Engineers' "New Discovery"
On the morning of the second day of the exhibition, our booth was surrounded by technical personnel from leading domestic battery manufacturers. A process engineer from a battery company in Jiangsu, after repeatedly observing the prototype in operation, proactively asked: "When this pump conveys high-viscosity cathode slurry, will there be pulsation?" The on-site technical staff immediately displayed real-time flow monitoring data and invited him to personally feel the slurry flow inside the pump tube. The engineer stated on the spot that he planned to take samples back for small-batch testing.

Technical Background: The "Hidden Challenge" of Slurry Conveying
The conveying of battery slurry has always been a key challenge in the production process. Traditional gear pumps or screw pumps, when handling slurries containing particles, are prone to particle breakage due to excessive shear forces, affecting battery consistency. While diaphragm pumps can reduce shear, they fall short in flow accuracy and pulsation control. This is precisely where the peristaltic pump comes into play—by using rollers to squeeze a hose to convey liquid, the slurry never comes into contact with the metal components of the pump body, preserving particle integrity while achieving pulsation-free continuous conveying.

Live Demonstration: "Stable Performance" Behind the Data
In the specially designated demonstration area at the exhibition, our technical staff used a small peristaltic pump to continuously convey high-solids lithium iron phosphate slurry for 8 hours. On-site records showed that flow fluctuation was controlled within ±1.5%, the wear level of the pump tube was lower than expected. A purchasing manager from Shenzhen commented after observing: "This level of stability is very helpful for us in reducing downtime for maintenance." In addition, as the only wear part, the pump tube can be replaced in just 2 minutes, significantly reducing production line maintenance costs.

Industry: From "Usable" to "User-Friendly"
Currently, the battery industry is accelerating its progress toward increased production capacity and optimized yield rates. The application of peristaltic pumps in slurry conveying is not a brand-new concept, but it was previously mostly limited to laboratory or small-batch production. The series of products showcased by our company this time focuses on solving the issues of pump tube lifespan and pressure resistance under high flow rates. For example, for high-viscosity slurries, we have upgraded to double-layer braided reinforced hoses, whose pressure resistance is improved by approximately 40% to conventional products, and they support CIP online cleaning. These improvements bring the equipment closer to large-scale mass production scenarios.

Future Direction Optimizing "Side by Side" with Customers
During the exhibition, our technical team held in-depth discussions with multiple customers on pain points in actual production lines. A customer from the southwestern region mentioned that their production line experiences uneven conveying caused by slurry settling. We suggested on-site that they try adjusting the pump's speed curve in combination with a circulation piping design. Currently, our company has reached intentions for joint testing with 3 battery manufacturers, planning to launch customized pump tube material solutions for different slurry formulations before the first quarter of 5.
