The global single-train 1.8 million tons/year ethylene steam cracker is a large-scale continuous petrochemical unit. A typical process includes feedstock pretreatment, cracking furnaces, quenching, cracked gas compression, caustic washing, cryogenic separation, ethylene/propylene distillation, and product delivery.
