API-BB3 HSSC (Single Casing) / HDSC (Double Casing) Series Pumps

The API-BB3 HSSC (single casing) and HDSC (double casing) series pumps are designed in accordance with API 610 10th Edition “Centrifugal Pumps for Petroleum, Petrochemical and Natural Gas Industries”.

The HDSC double-casing pump is specially designed for extreme operating conditions such as high temperature and high pressure. It is a horizontally split, horizontal multistage centrifugal pump with double casing construction.

The HSSC pump adopts a volute casing structure with centerline support. The impellers are symmetrically arranged to automatically balance axial thrust, eliminating the need for complicated balancing mechanisms such as balancing discs and balancing drums.

The suction and discharge nozzles are located at the bottom of the casing, allowing disassembly and installation without removing the suction and discharge piping.

The HDSC double-casing pump adopts horizontal centerline support. The inner cartridge uses an axially split structure, and the impellers are arranged in a back-to-back symmetrical configuration. By eliminating the traditional balancing device used in conventional multistage pumps, the pump becomes safer and more reliable when handling media containing particles.

The suction and discharge nozzles are arranged in a top-top configuration, and other arrangements can also be provided according to customer requirements.

The first-stage impeller can be designed as either:

  • Single suction

  • Double suction

The HSSC is a single-casing design, with external pressure-containing parts manufactured by casting process.

The HDSC double-casing pump adopts a forged outer pressure casing, ensuring high operational safety and reliability.

The inner cartridge adopts a pull-out design, allowing inspection and maintenance without removing the suction and discharge piping.

The sealing system is fully designed in accordance with API 682 2nd Edition “Shaft Sealing Systems for Centrifugal and Rotary Pumps”, and can be equipped with various sealing, flushing, and cooling plans. Special designs can also be provided according to customer requirements.

Depending on shaft power and rotational speed, the bearings may adopt:

  • Self-lubricated sleeve bearing structure
    or

  • Forced lubrication bearing structure

Viewed from the driver end, the pump rotates clockwise. Counterclockwise rotation can also be provided upon customer request.


HSSC (Single Casing)

  • Flow Range: 10 ~ 1500 m³/h

  • Head Range: Up to 3000 m

  • Temperature Range: -40 ~ +200°C

  • Design Pressure: 10 ~ 35 MPa

  • Maximum Speed: 6000 r/min

HDSC (Double Casing)

  • Flow Range: 45 ~ 1440 m³/h

  • Head Range: Up to 3200 m (6000 r/min)

  • Temperature Range: -80 ~ +450°C

  • Maximum Design Pressure: 35 MPa

  • Maximum Speed: 9000 r/min
